Lovell of Sams Creek purchased fifty acres from James Lovell on february 18, 1811 on Pond Creek. Footnote indicates this info from Davidson County Deed Book I, p.174.

    3. Thanks, Jim. I had found this info at Salt Lake City in April when Jim and I toured the LDS Library there. Do you know if that book West Nashville, etc is still in print? I am considering buying a copy. Someone told me it was around $45 they thought. So, my James Lovell owned property in the Pond Creek area, and I am guessing he owned more than just the 50 acres he sold John M. Lovell, who I think was his brother. The 1811 time frame was about the time or a little after his first wife died.
