My MEADOWS (MEADOR/MEADORS) came from VA after The American Revolution. They settled in Smith, Macon and Sumner Counties of TN. They had strong ties with the SIMMONS families. In my database, I found the following: CARNEY (1) GOWER (12), 1600's-1800's and also spelled as GOURE. GRIMES (2) Jack & John, 1800's JOHNSON (several hundred), 1700's-1900's LEE (36), 1800's-1900's SANDERS (42), 1800's-1900's SIMMONS (several hundred), 1700's-1900's NOTE: I did not locate any of the people listed on the original post to the list. I would be happy to check and see if there are any individuals in my database, if this will help someone on the list. Also, I have several online subscriptions in various databases and would be happy to see if I can locate any pertinent info for anyone. Robbie Meadows-O'Brien aka TNKinDigger@aol.com
Robbie, I have ALL of these names in my database, too. Could we exchange info?
