    2. Family History Book-A message from Tom Knight Tom Knight forwarded the following e-mail to several individuals with Cheatham County interests and gives his permission to repeat it here: Good Morning All: I am hoping you have heard about the upcoming "all new" Cheatham County Family History Book, now being compiled by the Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Society. Further, I am hoping you have submitted, or certainly plan to submit, at least one story about yourself and/or your Cheatham County Family to be included in this book. The story can be about anyone now living or has ever lived in Cheatham County, TN; that leaves a wide span to find someone to write about. In case you missed the announcement; you may submit an article of not more than 500 words and one picture to be included for "FREE". Now, where else can you find a bargain like that? But you need to hurry, as the deadline for submission is January 30, 2000. Send your story and picture to: Cheatham County History Book, 233 N. Vine Street, Ashland, TN 37015. *****Added note by Jim Allen - the Deadline has been extended beyond 30 January with no actual date specified but CCHGA would like to have as many as possible as soon as possible********* Thelma Heflin is the Book Committee Chairperson; her phone # 615-792-4106, in case you need further details. The Society’s e-mail is cchga007@bellsouth.net No doubt Jim Allen will be checking the address for mail. *****Another Jim Allen Note - if you send it to cchga007@bellsouth.net include Jim Allen as a copy to at : allenjm@bellsouth.net******* The book is being offered for sale on a pre-publication basis only, for $52.50 plus $6.00 S&H. Be sure to send the money with your order. What’s my interest? Well, I have been helping put a similar book together for our Genealogical Society here in Laclede County, MO and I know it takes a bunch of stories to make a good book. Additionally, I promised my good friend Reba Harris that I would pass the word along to all those I know who have Cheatham County connections. You can do the same by urging your families, friends and neighbors to not be left out of this exciting book. Many Thanks,
