    2. Tom Lowe
    3. I have a problem I am sure someone out there can solve for me. I am related to Marvel Lowe (Pleasant View, TN, 1818 to Marystown TX, 1884). He married Henrietta Woodson (Pleasant View, TN, 1819 to Sardis, TX, 1863) and they had 9 kids. Mary Walker's book, Pleasant View and Environs, does not mention Henrietta as one of Peter Woodson's daughters, which she should have been. Could anyone clear this up for me? Also, if anyone has any knowledge of the Marvel Lowe family either before or after, please contact me. I should be able to help you also. Thanks, Tom Lowe [Glen, Harrison, Marvel, Marvel, Gilbert]

    1. Re: [TNCHEATH-L] SCOTT
    2. Eddie, "The Tombstone Records of Cheatham County" list a Scott Cemetery 9 miles from Highway 70 on Harpeth River Road. The only Thomas Scott indicated therein has no birth date but does bear the inscription "died September 1925". Other Scotts interred there are: Dale Alan; Hamilton T; James W. H. R.; John T; Sarah; W. H.; and Walter B. There is an Ann mentioned on page 150 of "West Nashville its people and environs" by Sarah Foster Kelley which indicates that an Allen Thompson married the widow of William Kellum who was the daughter of Joseph and Betsy Hannah who had a daughter Ann who was the wife of Thomas Scott. Joseph Hannah was a private in the Guard in the North Carolina Continental Line during the Revolutionary War. Rsp Jim Allen Robi966857@aol.com wrote: > I am looking for information on Thomas W. 1. [TNCHEATH-L] Assistance Needed
    2. I saw a book today at my library called "Cheatham County, TN Wills and Inventories, Volume A, 1856-1871". There is an entry in the index for Shearron, Jesse, Dec. Inv. 389. It is not in the book - it did not go as far as an entry of 389 or a page 389. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is another volume out there that would have the listing I'm looking for. Also, I am wondering if someone in Ashland City could go to the library there and scan and e-mail me page 174 from the book Pioneers of 'Possum Trot Tennessee by Mary Ann Harris von Verdo. A relative has the book, but page 174 is missing from hers. One more thing.....when were birth certificates first issued? I am at a dead end in searching for some folks, and I'm wondering if birth records could be found for them. Thanks, Christine Stafford
