    1. Re: [TNCHAT] Be Nice Policy?????
    2. One of the biggest complaints we get most often is about mail lists and list rules. I'm not a big fan of 30 or 40 rules for every list. TnChat has some rules, but heck if I can remember them. I know there's some sort of loophole in there that says I can toss anybody at any time. That's my favorite rule. Havn't ever used it though. Many people write me in Union County and express to me that they like our laid back attitude. We discuss recipes, ghost stories and such. If it gets slow I will say something rediculous to get a discussion started. Other CC's have told me they only allow genealogy discussions on their county lists. I guess it's whatever they want. But I'll tell you, more than once Union County has made family connections on the list because of discussions of Moon Pies and old General Stores. I look at mail lists as the front porch of old General Stores. I can picture us all sitting there whittling drinking an RC and having a Moon Pie. Just talking and remembering old times. Then my wife comes along and wakes me up, seems I've fallen asleep at the computer again! Have a great day, And remember, our only rules are: 1) Be nice 2) Say nice things about Chip (your host) 3) Send Chip all your money If you have a short memory, concentrate real hard on number 3. <g> Chip -------------------------------- End of TNCHAT-D Digest V00 Issue #61 ************************************ From root@lists6.rootsweb.com Tue Aug 1 18:55:35 2000 Return-Path: <root@lists6.rootsweb.com> Received: from lists6.rootsweb.com (lists6.rootsweb.com [63.92.80.125]) by listsearches.rootsweb.com (8.10.1/8.10.1) with ESMTP id e721tZw04119 for <indexer@listsearches.rootsweb.com>; Tue, 1 Aug 2000 18:55:35 -0700 Received: (from root@localhost) by lists6.rootsweb.com (8.10.1/8.10.1) id e721taX15110 for indexer@listsearches.rootsweb.com; Tue, 1 Aug 2000 18:55:36 -0700 Date: Tue, 1 Aug 2000 18:55:36 -0700 Message-Id: <200008020155.e721taX15110@lists6.rootsweb.com> From: TNCHAT-D-request@rootsweb.com Subject: TNCHAT-D Digest V00 #61 X-Loop: TNCHAT-D@rootsweb.com X-Mailing-List: <TNCHAT-D@rootsweb.com> archive/volume00/61 Precedence: list MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/digest; boundary="----------------------------" To: TNCHAT-D@rootsweb.com Reply-To: TNCHAT-L@rootsweb.com ------------------------------ Content-Type: text/plain TNCHAT-D Digest Volume 00 : Issue 61 Today's Topics: #1 [TNCHAT] Be Nice Policy?????
