I like the idea of the Asst. SC being appointed (with consent of the board). After watching how the Republicans and Democrats act in the nation's best interest (ho, ho...think they forgot all about us) think a friendly Asst. SC is the ticket. Now...usually in an organization, it has been the custom (maybe too many times) for the VP to be bumped up to SC automatically. I feel that there would be some Asst. SC who could manage the SC job very well and with the support of the Board/CCs. But, if they are going to be appointed, think we should not have it in the by laws that they will automatically become SC. My thoughts for the day. It's too hot to think any more.
