Wynant Vanderpool served in the Revolutionary War as a patriot and is listed in the Military Index as follows: Whining (Wynant) (NC-patriot), b. ca 1747 NJ, d. after 1810 = Naomi (Amy) Kinman, Patriotic Service. Wynant Vanderpool furnished corn and fodder for American forces in the Revolutionary War, as shown on Voucher number 666, Accounts of the United States of America for Sunries frunished Militia of North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina, as alioed (sic) by Brown, McKissic and Miller, auditors of Salisbury District, January 1782 as per report number 40.
