LAMBERT, ALVIN Star," Wednesday, December 16, 1942 PRIVATE ALVIN LAMBERT Private Alvin Lambert died yesterday of pneumonia in a hospital at Fort Benning Georgia. He was the son of Mrs. Della Lambert, route 2, Butler. LAMBERT, Alvin "Elizabethton Star," Friday, December 18, 1942 PVT. ALVIN D. LAMBERT Private Alvin Donnely Lambert, age 22, died at Fort Benning, Ga., Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. after a short illness. Private Lambert had been in the Army since July 6. He was a native of Carter county. Survivors are parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lambert, Poga; one sister, Mrs. Leona Hatly, Poga; four brothers, Earnest, Raymond, Leonard, Ronso, Poga; grandfather, W. N. Dugger, Poga. Funeral services were conducted from the home, this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial was made in Church cemetery. Active pallbearers and flowerbearers[sic] were selected from friends at the funeral. LAMBERT, Hobert (Mrs.) "Elizabethton Star," Friday, March 6, 1942 VALLEY FORGE The death of Mrs. Hobert Lambert grieved her many friends. LAMBERT, John C. "Elizabethton Star," Wednesday, August 11, 1937 JOHN C. LAMBERT John C. Lambert, age 57, died last night at 10:30 O'clock at his home at Elk Mills after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the Christian church there with Rev. W. M. Angell and Rev. Martin Miller in charge. Interment will be in the Lineback Cemetery. Mr. Lambert is survived by his widow, Bell Lambert; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Staton, Mrs. Lon McKinnis, Mrs. James Dugger, Miss Della Lambert, and seven sons, William, Donald, Ronda, Homer, Frank, Earl and Delmas. LAMBERT, W. W. (Mrs.) "Elizabethton Star," Friday, November 6, 1942 MRS. W. W. LAMBERT Mrs. W. W. Lambert, age 77, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. N. E. Harris, at Hampton this morning at 6:30. She has been in ill health for a number of years. Mrs. Lambert was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. A. Jobe, prominent families of Carter county. She was the widow of the late Walter Lambert and was a member of the Central Methodist church of Elizabethton. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. N. E. Harris, Hampton, number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Harlow Dixon of Elizabethton. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. B. H. Hampton officiating.
