He was b. (prob) Amelia Co. VA. Family migrated to Wilkes Co. NC, and then to Carter Co. TN. He was involved in establishing Johnson Co. TN. Thomas married 3 times: first to Lucy Eddins (1780 Wilkes Co. NC), second to Fannie Dickenson Scott, a widow (@ 1787) and finally to Susannah Wright.
