Thank you, I do not have that book, I am trying to help my cousin who lives in Florida. Her GGrandmother was Ada Belle Carter who married Addison Kirk. Her grandmother was Ruby Kirk and she told the family that the Carters were Cherokee from N.C., so I am trying to help Pat with her genealogy. I looked on the Rootsweb Native American Rolls and could not find anyone that was similar to these Tennessee Carters.
