Blevins. I know that he appeared before a Justice of the Peace in Carter County in August of 1832. He would have been 21 years old. He next appears on the 1840 Census in Hawkins County and then moved to Arkansas, appearing on the 1850 Census there. There does not appear to be any Blevins on the 1820 Carter Census,but then there is quite a gagle on the 1830 Census, so I assume that a Blevins group must have moved to Carter prior to the 1830 Census. Anyway, I would very much appreciate any assistance, suggestions, guidance or therapy in my frustratng quest to locate the parents of my John D. Blevins.
