Just in case of future connection. my 3rd gt grandmother was Mary Jane SNIDER born Dec 1797 in Carter Co TN. Married Whitney Sheffield and lived most of her life with family in Washington Co VA. I have searched but have not been able to find any information on the Snider family in Carter county from this time.
