Josie Vines was married to William L KITE on 22 Oct 1922 in Carter Co., TN. William L KITE died on 20 Sep 1937 in Johnson City, Washington Co., TN. From the “Elizabethton Star,” Elizabethton, TN, Friday, March 24, 1944 MRS. JOSIE KITE Mrs. Josie Kite, age 60, died at the home of her son, Tracy Vines, route 4, Elizabethton Thursday at 12:45 p.m. after a lingering illness. She was a member of the Christian church. Survivors are one son, Tracy Vines; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Dugger, Butler; two brothers, Harry Vines and Monroe Vines, Valley Forge; two half-sisters, Vickie Taylor and Rosie Taylor, Valley Forge, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Christian church at Valley Forge, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, with the Rev. Wilson in charge. Burial will be made in the Smith Cemetery. Active pallbearers and flower bearers will be selected from friends at the service. The Roy Hathaway Funeral Home is in charge.
