    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EeB.2ACE/318.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I was in Washington Co., TN over the holiday and meant to track down some information if any was available on James Peoples and Rhoda McNabb, esp. their children. Needless to say, the best of intentions don't always get carried out. It was only after I had made one visit to the courthouse and didn't find anything that I learned there are apparently loose older documents that I might have seen if I knew to ask for them; the clerk's staff don't just volunteer the information. But I never had a chance to get back. However, I did come across a will online for John Peoples which names among his sons James Peoples. I do not have a reference for this, but for whatever it's worth: WILL: Last Will and Testament of John Peoples "In the name of God, Amen. I John Peoples of Carter County in the state of Tennessee do make my last will in form and manner following; that is to say I do give to my eldest son Nathan Peoples, one Negro boy named Isom to him and his heirs forever. And to my second son named James Peoples I do give one Negro woman named Peggy to him and his heirs forever. And to my third son named Samuel W. H. Peoples I do give one Negro woman named Dannier and all that tract of land I live on, all my personal and perishable property to him and his heirs forever, free from any person or persons whoever claiming any right thereunto in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of January in the year 1801. John Peoples"
