    3. Hi Dorothy, I think I made the connection with Carter Co Tenn. I knew some had moved to Stone Mountain. But recently by the assistance of Ron Campbell found out that Stone Mtn. is located now in Unicoi Co TN. In the 1800's it was Carter Co. Stone Mountain is in the community of Limestone Cove across the road from the Bell Cemetary. The Campbell Cem. on Campbell Road is located on Lower Stone Mt. Rd. Our Campbells were in NC until after 1831 when they moved to Carter Co. The three oldest sons - Billy, Thomas B. and Elijah Jackson according to Yancey Co.1850 census were born in NC. TB and Jackson were now living in NC. The 1850 Carter Co. census lists their 3 younger brothers and sisters as still living at home with their Mother. Their father had died some time between 1835 and 1849. 1850 Carter Co. Census -* Mary Campbell age 50 - widow - born South Car. *daughter Mary J. Campbell age 18 - born NC *son Albert E. Campbell age 16 born NC * daughter Elizabeth Campbell - age 14 born Tennessee. Our Thomas Bady had a son that he also named Albert E. after his brother. Now, the 1860 Yancey Co. census had some more info after these connections were made. On Greasy Creek on the home place of TB and Lucy, there was a new family living next to them headed by *John Fry age 29. He is married to *Elizabeth age 21. * daughter Mary E. age 4, * son William C. age 1 and the mother * Mary Campbell age 65. If this is the same Mary from Carter Co (only about 8 miles between the 2 places), then Thomas Bady has given land for his sister Elizabeth and family and his mother Mary to live. I still have no indication as to Mary's husband- TB's father's name nor Mary's maiden name. Unsure of where Mary was buried, or Elizabeth but at the Campbell Cem. on Greasy Creek there are several unmarked stones around TB's. Things seem to be coming together. Stone walls can crumble. Stone Mountain may have helped crumble ours. Maybe someone else will see this and more connections will be made. Have a great New Year.
