I went to the online 1880 census: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp I put in Sam Hutchnison and then specified born about 1874 (plus or minus 5 years) and born in TN. The search only came up with 6 possibilities. Two in Union county, one in Davidson, one in Carroll, one in Meigs, and one in Hamilton.
