I so appreciate the time and effort you took to fill me in on some of my ancestors and relatives. I know little about my gg grandfather Albert E Campbell who m. Elizabeth Fry. Until about a year ago I hadn't even known that they were in my line! This is practically all I know about Albert Evans Campbell and Elizabeth C Campbell: They had three children:. 1. Elizabeth C Campbell 1858-aft 1930 m. 1st James Monroe Davis abt 1849-abt 1908.. I descend from them. They had 13 children. Several are still living in TN, WI, FL, NC (Elizabeth m. 2nd William Davis, no children from this issue. 2. Eli Jackson Campbell m. Adeline Birchfield. Eli Jackson & Adoline Birchfiled had 7 children. I have names, birth and death dates. 3. Thomas Batey Campbell m. Goldie Campbell. (Only info. I have is the 1 son you gave me info on...Javan m. Goldie Campblell.) Elizabeth C Campbell's parents were Nicholas Fry 1798-abt 1860 and Susannah Burns.1801--aft 1900 I do not know who the parents of Nicholas and Susannah were. James Monroe Davis's parents elude me! I am working on a possible candidate: one George Washington Davis b. abt 1831 > In the 30 July 1860 Hamilton Tn Federal census a 29 year old George W Davis and son James m 10 are living with sisters in law Mary Childers and Melinda Childers. (I have to start the search somewhere!). One of James Monroe Davis & Elizabeth C Campbell's son was a George Washington Davis. (Oral history has a maternal grandmother, maiden name GRAY from Gray's Station, TN (near Johnson City, TN) m. to a Davis. I will be happy to receive ANY information that you have on our common relatives/ancestors. I fear I haven't had much to share.
