If you still have any info about them I would greatly apprecaite it. An Amy responded to the same post saying that we had Samuel and Anna all wrong, that we were actually looking for a Samuel and Ann (Luck) Wilson that came from Amelia Co., VA. Well, they are NOT my Wilsons. They did migrate to the same area of MO, but they are a completely different clan of Wilsons. I am the GGG Grandson of George and Mary Wilson of Barry Co., MO. They came from Carter Co., TN then to Illinois where their son David Daniel Wilson was born, then on the Barry Co., MO. It is my understanding that George Wilson is the son of Samuel and Anna Wilson. In your original post you said you had some pictures of them. Does any of this ring a bell? Please let me know. Sincerely, Vern Wilson

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EeB.2ACE/398.1.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: This is a case of putting two different pieces of information together and coming to a conclusion. In researching my Harman line, I learned that my 3rd g-grandfather, David Tucker Harmsn's second wife was Rebecca Elizabeth Clawson, daughter of Robert E. Clawson. My 4th G-grandmother, Rhoda Dugger Dyer Harman (mother of David Tucker Harman) was a sister to Joel Dugger. In researching the Dugger side of my family, I came across a posted genealogy file listing the children of Joel and Hester Primer Dugger, which listed an unnamed daughter marrying Robert E. Clawson. By eliminating the daughters with known husbands, I concluded that Elizabeth had to be the daughter that married Robert. Not proof positive for sure, without a marriage record, but no record has been found for Robert's first marriage.

That was a bit of information I picked up on the Internet and put it down for future research and since it was not in my direct lineage, have not pursued it. I have searched the 1870 census records for an Elizabeth Dugger with a daughter named Caroline and have come up empty. At this time I have not learned which Dugger she was married to before marrying Robert Clawson.

For whatever reason, I am not getting notification by email of replies to any of my queries through Rootsweb and I've posted so many I can't keep track of all of my posted queries. I was leaning toward the possiblility that Elizabeth's father was Daniel Campbell. He had two daughters listed between the ages of 10-15 in 1840. Depending on when the census was taken, Elizabeth possibly listed in this age bracket. The main reason was because of so many nearby families that tie to mine (Dugger, Clawson, Sheffield/Shuffield) I think the only way I can positively prove who Elizabeth's parents were, is to find a family bible record or will. Thank you for the reply.
