He married Nancy E. Beard on October 20, 1852 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Caswell's father was Williamson Finch, and his mother was Mary "Polly" Carter Finch, b. abt. 1837 in Tenn. Her dates are: 1791-1884, and she is buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, Mississippi, Panola County. I would appreciate any help. I especially would like to find out who were the parents of Nancy E. Beard. My Greattgf was William C. Beard/Beaird, b. abt. 1826 in Tennessee. In the 1860 Census for Panola County, Mississippi, there were several Beards/Beairds who were listed as being born in Tennessee. Their names and birth year are: Andrew, 1820; James M., 1822; Seralda, 1824; William C., 1826; Elsy, 1830; Martha I., 1832; David, 1834; Elijah, 1835; there is also a Mary Beard, 64 and listed as b. in GA in 1796. We think she may be William C. Beard/beaird's mother. I hope that William C. and these familymembers could have come from Carroll County originally. Thanks again for any help.
