The will of Moses Green is not transcribed clearly but was Margaret E. (the wife of Mathew M) the daughter of Moses Green? Yes, I have some info on the Green's in Mecklenburg Co.NC. The will file for John Green has many pages of payments, notes, etc. I have worked on him for years with the theory that John Green's wife was Margaret Haynes. I do know she was married (1) to James Carruth and married John Green about 1777. Their last child was named David Haynes Green born around 1790. It's possible John Green had been married before, but apparently Margaret was still living in 1815. This is so exciting finally meeting someone who has a connection to this family. GREEN is a difficult name to research. Hope to hear more.
