My grandfather was Riley Clinton Hedges(Hedge), married to Susan(Susie) Elizabeth Allen, daughter of Amanda Jane Brackin and James Allen, JR. Grandpa, Riley Clinton, Susan Elizabeth, and other ggrandparents, Henry Franklin Abbott, Thomas Jackson Kee, Mary Elizabeth Allen and many more were born at Crockett Gully;s located on the west banks of the Maple Creek and north of Natchez Trace park. GGrandpa Henry Franklin Abbott had the first Griss mill. GGrandpa Ben Hedges/ R.C.(RileyClinton) had the first grocery store there.
