Hi, Is anyone working on either the PEARMAN or CREWS family who were living in Carroll Co in the 1860's? I am interested particularly in James Pearman who is listed on the 1860 Census of Carroll Co. James was born in VA. He lived in Halifax Co. VA. I don't know if he lived in Halifax Co. all the time until he moved to Carroll Co. or not but his daughter, Mary Jane Pearman, was born in Halifax Co. in 1840. Mary Jane Pearman married Walter Caswell CREWS in Oct. 1860. I have been able to find quite a lot of information on the Crews but this is almost everything I know about the Pearmans.
