I am somehow related to James Melton and Permillia Sooter (Suiter) I have seen Palmer in my research. I know that Nicey (Eunice) her sister married Ezekial Martin. I am trying to tie Isobelle (Elizabeth) Melton to this family. She is not listed by that name on his will. I wonder if she could be Sally?. How far have you gotton with this family? You do know that they migrated to Izard Co, Ar bef. 1833 and then to Barry Co, MO. Eli Suiter ( Sooter) was in AR in 1833, I believe. Would need to look at my piles and piles of notes.
