I would be interested if you find where they came from, as my FRENCH family was in Anson Co., NC in 1762, and later ended up in Carroll Co., TN. I have been researching for years, but can't find a clue as to where they were from before Anson Co., NC. My ancestor was named Gideon and there are no other Gideons in the French family, but I know there was a Gideon GREEN in Anson Co. Please, keep me informed as to this family. Julia French Wood
