This is not a family I am researching but thought it might help someone else. Iredell Co. NC Deed Bk. N, page 154 24 Sep 1827 John Butler and Mary Butler of Carrol Co. Tennessee appoint William Butler and Samuel Wales as their lawful attorney, to make a deed and convey a tract of land lying on waters of Hunting Creek, containing 97 acres. Said land was sold by Edmond Butler of Simpson Co., Kentucky to Rachel Tharpe of Iredell Co. John Butler and Mary Butler, as heirs of Edmond Butler, direct the said attorneys to convey the land to the said Rachel Tharpe. Signed John (x) Butler and Mary (x) Butler. Witnesses: Edward Guinn (JP) of Carroll Co. Tennessee. Registered 1 Jul 1828
