I got my hands on the obituary of my great great grandfather Lawrence Gibson's death! Gibson Services Set For Sunday Lawrence Alfred Gibson, 82, a well known resident of Horatio, died in a local hopsital at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 1956. Funeral services will be held Saurday, December 22 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Horatio with Reverend E. R. Armer officiating. Internment will be in Horatio cemetary under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Mr Gibson a retired carpenter was born February 10, 1874 in Huntingdon Tenn. He has been a resident of Horatio for the past fifty years and was a member of the Nazerene Church. Survivors include four sons, Adam B. Gibson, Shrieveport, LA., Lawrence H. Gibson, Pritchard, AL, and Tommy and Bill Gibson of Horatio; one daughter, Mrs Eve B. Lee of Sacramento, CA;, one brother, Hervey Gibson,; one sister Mrs. Kate Bryant, of Huntingdon TN,; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Paulbearers will be Frank Bagwell, Glenn Dorsey, Dock Casteel,Rayburn Pickett, DeVoe Bollinger and Charlie Billingsley. Thank you Cary
