To the List: If you have Tennessee roots you will be interested in a new publication titled "The Reconstructed 1810 Census of Tennessee." To be published in June, this 600-page volume will include more than 30,000 records of citizens of Tennessee in 1810. Since nearly all of the original census was destroyed many years ago, this reconstructed census will be an invaluable research tool. The work is based on names extracted from tax lists, court minutes, church records, wills, deeds and other sources dated 1809-1811 in Tennessee. The author made this extensive effort to track every adult male in Tennessee. In addition many entries for women, children, free blacks and slaves were also located. The book was complied by Charles A. Sherrill, a well-known Tennessee genealogist, librarian and lecturer. His earlier works include "Tennesseans in Court" and "Tennessee Convicts." Next was their son WILLIAM W WEBB born 1838 or 39 in NC married to ELIZA PERRETT or PERRITT in Carroll Co 1860. Next would come ROBERT FRANKLIN WEBB born 1881 or 82 married to EMMA CARVER (daughter to WILY W CARVER and JENIE or Jennie WEBB). Emma had always claimed to be Indian but we have yet to prove that in any way. Have not been able to find anything on her mother other than her name was supposed to be Jenie Webb according to a family bible and she died in Feb 1902. Was able to find Wily Carver married to (unable to make out first name) middle initial J on the 1900 census for dist 23 Carroll Co. Children listed were EMMA A and HUGH E CARVER (believe he went by Elmer). Anyway, next would come ROBERT DOYLE WEBB son of Robert Franklin and Emma Carver. Robert Doyle in my husbands grandfather. He married ALTA VERNELL BENNETT (daughter of OLLIE and CLARA(BARNHART) BENNETT). If there is anyone else out there researching the same line, I do have more information. Also, if you have anything that you think might help me out, I would love to hear from you.

Bonds 1860 Carroll Co. census, age 31 is the father of Andrew J. Bonds age 2 in the 1860 census. It was Andrew Sr. who fought in the civil war.
