    1. [TNCARROL] McAlister, Herron
    2. Ben Herron
    3. We have long suspected that Lucile Herron McALISTER (March 26, 1862-May 26, 1895) was a sister to our g-grandfather William W. HERRON, based on birth date and she is buried beside W.W. and Mollie Gilbert HERRON in the Mt Olivet cemetery, McKenzie, TN. We have just found Lucy and W. W. HERRON with their mother and step-father on the 1870 Mecklemburg, NC census. 1870 Census of Charlotte North Carolina: Richard and Margaret Turner, with children: William W. Herron, age 15, Thomas M. age 12, Lucy Age 8, and Leonora Age 6, and Charles Turner age 6 months, also listed is Andrew Plaster Age 62. If anyone has access to the 1880 Carroll or Henry County census and/or marriage books......I would appreciate a lookup for McALISTER. W.W. HERRON was on the 1880 Weakley County census but there are no McALISTER's. Oral history is that W.W. left NC soon after 1870 for San Antonio, TX but came to McKenzie to visit relatives around 1880, where he met and married Mollie GILBERT. Which would make sense if Lucy Herron McALISTER was also here in 1880. Ben Herron Bristol, TN

Brewer through William Franklin Brewer who married Margaret Selina Birdwell, a daughter of William Page Birdwell. The officiating minister of their wedding was John Blount. Apparently W.P. Birdwell and a great many Brewers went to church at Holly Springs in Carroll County Tennessee where I believe John Blount must have been the pastor. I would be happy to exchange information. I am really just getting started, but have discovered many cousins I had no idea I had and they are also interested in genealogy research. We are stuck on N.D.J. Brewer's brothers or father. There is also a James W. Brewer that was born about 1775 and died in 1838 in Carroll County. The executor of his estate was Joseph Brewer. Were Joseph and Nathaniel brothers? Who was your James W. Brewer' mother? I'll be happy to make contact.
