    3. A few years ago, when preparing to plant annual flowers, I happened to actually notice what I was pulling - lambs' quarter, wild lettuce, wild onion, violets, dandelion and polk. A refrain came unbidden to mind, "toss the food, plant the flowers". Each year, the thought returns stronger and louder. But, in recent years, it's been joined by a second "Who the dickens still even knows what I'm talking about or remembers how to prepare lambs' quarter or how it tastes?" Guess there are more than I figured. welk@heartoftn.net wrote: >Just bring it on ...I believe us "southerners" can handle >the poke salet, red-eye gravey and biscuts! >Linda Gilley King > >----- Original Message ----- >From: Joe Sissom <joesissom@tx.rr.com> >To: tncannon@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [TNCANNON] Cannon reunion >Date: Wed, 30 May 2007 20:42:59 -0500 > > > >>Kevin Morgan wrote: >> >> >>>I am waiting on the BBQ at Jess's house ! >>> >>> >>Now that is something I'dlike to add to next yr's >>event..... aomebody bring the poke salet, somebody the >>red-eye gravy, somebody the biscuits to put it on, I'll >>bring a freezer of the best homemade ice cream you have >>ever eaten. >> >>Kevin, you do hve the best of ideas!!! >> >>Joe >> >>------------------------------- >>To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >>TNCANNON-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' >>without the quotes in the subject and the body of the >>message >> >> > >------------------------------- >To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to TNCANNON-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > >

    3. My husband cooks lambs quarters, but I can't remember exactly what he does with them.
