For starters, William P. DID NOT DIE IN THE CIVIL WAR. Everyone, who died during the war years, was not necessarily involved in the war. In William P.'s case, he caught and died of influenza, while riding a horse back and forth between a job in Rutherford, while living up on the ridge in Cannon Co., in the dead of winter.
