    1. Re: [TNCANNON] Bynum
    2. Jess, Keep coming with your corrections because I had the exact same info on William P. Gilley and I have had it for years! I also have info that Caleb Gilley was md to an Elizabeth Davenport before he md. Isabella C. Bynum. Is this true? Julie In a message dated 5/10/2007 9:35:08 P.M. Central Standard Time, kr4oj@bellsouth.net writes: Kevin, I don't know where your "Gilley" info came from, but as most Gilley genealogy buffs will tell you, whoever put it together is way out in the weeds, at least when it comes to William P. (Peterson) Gilley (generation 4) and subsequent generations of that particular line. I haven't had time to check out the other branches of this info, yet. This is my particular line. For starters, William P. DID NOT DIE IN THE CIVIL WAR. Everyone, who died during the war years, was not necessarily involved in the war. In William P.'s case, he caught and died of influenza, while riding a horse back and forth between a job in Rutherford, while living up on the ridge in Cannon Co., in the dead of winter.
