    3. I can remember my grandmother adding water and salt, but I don't remember how much. She would check it everyday, until it was just so-so. Then she would can it in fruit jars. I know she done a lot of canning in the spring, with a pressure cooker on her wood cook stove(back in those days). Even her peaches, she would cut them up and cook them, and then can them. Everything was better back in those "Days".
