I would almost have to believe this is my guy.In the Cannon Co.census his name was spelled Murfree as it sounded to the census taker..Would there be Immigration records in Cannon Co.Boy that Irish man got around.He did not get here untill 1851.By 1860 he was married to Elizabeth Brown who in 1850 was married to Issac Brown in Warren Co.Issac had to have died and James married her by 1853 as in 1860 They have a 4 year old child together living in Cannon Co.I have never found a marriage record for James Murphrey -Murfree & Elizabeth Manus Brown.
