I had an interesting experience with Blue Bell when living in Hillsboro, TX. I got a double-dip cone at a service station that had a few eating items, including a Blue Bell ice cream station.. I was avidly eating my cone when my tongue hit something rough.. I stopped and pulled on the item. It was a piece of broken metal.. about 3/4 inch by 1 inch... It looked like a piece of a wrench or an odd shaped metal item. I showed it to the clerk and she just gave me this look of doubt.. and said it couldn't have been from their ice cream, however she did take it and give it to the Blue Bell company.. I got a letter back apologizing saying that that wasn't possible (HUH????).. but they were enclosing a coupon for me to get more ice cream.. The interesting thing is... there was NO coupon in the envelope.. Ugh! So.. I've had a "thing" aabout ever eating their ice cream again... weird I know, but guess that's just me.. I like DREYER's Ice Cream.. especially their Sundae Cone.. It tastes like a old fashioned drumstick.. SO good! Ymmm!
