I remember my mom making chocolate gravy. It was thicker than what others have mentioned. It was more like hot chocolate pudding that you would serve over biscuits. I loved it. I also loved tomato gravy over biscuits. That was a milk graby with a can of tomato soup or tomatoes added. A lot of that food came into being I think due to lack of money. If it was pay day the gravy would be made with milk so it would be nice, thick, and creamy. As we got toward the end of the pay check the milk would be replaced with water. Still good but just not as good. I agree about foods today being over processed and having all these chemicals added to preserve shelf life. I think eating food the way God intended - pure natural and little processing is the way to go. Taste alot better too. LOL Merideth K.
