My roots began in Woodbury, it is a small quaint town that hasn't been heavily commercialized......you will find a McDonalds, Sonic, Hardees and a new Mexican Restaurant among all the local restaurants. In the town square is a restaurant called Joe's, Alan Jackson (country music singer ), has eaten there. All local shops and very friendly. Points of interest, just a laid back town with many retirees. There is, The Arts Center of Cannon Co., in Woodbury but you would need to call ahead for a schedule of musicals, comedies, dramas and concerts. Located at 1424 John Bragg Hwy. about 1 mile west of the town. Other than the scenery, churches, cemeteries, banks and a few antique shops there just isn't much there. There are no hotels or motels.
