That was me writting on my Murphy family.I have been reading all the post today & thought this is a good time to jump in and post.Maybe someone would reconize my family.James Murphree [ current spelling Murphy] born 1820 Limerick Ireland.Married Elizabeth Manus Brown widow of Issac Brown.Died in Cannon Co.after 1870.James accourding to family stories from grandchildren was a rock fence builder.Working in the winter took pnuemonia and died .They lived in the Short Mountain area.So there is still rock fences in Cannon Co.? How exciting.Wonder if he built any of them.Would be niice if someome would post a picture of one.Sure wish I could visit Woodbury one day and see where my husbands family came from.James & Elizasbeth had children 1.Timothy married Amanda Muncy 2.Margaret [Maggie[ married George Miller 3.Mary married Wm.Manus
