Charles et.al., You will find things a bit more "laid back", here, than on the TnWarren list. A limited amount of "off topic" is tolerated, even a clean joke or two, from time to time. Just don't get into personal issues or bashing, too heavily, or run it into the ground.. We are, after all, supposed to be primarily about Cannon Co. area history and Genealogy. Also, if you've got something to sell, or know of something for sale, that is genealogy related and something some folks might be interested in, do tell us about it. People can make up their own mind as to what to do with the info. Some lists will publicly try to humiliate you by name, immediately de-list you FOREVER, without any cautions or warnings, and won't allow any protests or discussion on the matter, whatsoever, upon penalty of being de-listed yourself. Barney Fife would have been proud. "You gotta nip it in the bud... nip it..." :^)) You won't find that here, except under extreme instances, and a warning or two. BTW, I followed the link to the Bush bashing (see subject) and found some interesting side links. This group seems to target (and color) anything remotely connected to the current administration in Washington. They have some interesting "reporter tutoring" downloads that seem to encourage changing, fluffing and emphasizing certain key words. Jess, my last response. Lest you think that I am a trouble maker, let me tell you what is going on in my life. At the beginning of this year I had an awesome encounter with Christ that changed my outlook completely. I have a new zeal to be a bold witness for Christ. I have been a sheep seeking comfort from other sheep. Now I am a sheep seeking the company of wolves to tell them about the saving grace of God. A sheep is a breath away from being a meal, because this is a wolf eat sheep world. The only defense that a sheep has is to talk boldly. Be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. My prayer is "Lord teach me what that means, that is what I want to be." I was suddenly drawn into the debate to defend President Bush (actually I had more important things to do than get involved in this) but there I was and was suddenly banned so quickly from the Warren board. . It was like the Lord said, "you want to be bold, assert yourself into this issue" This is not the religious right coming to George Bush's defense, but just me testing the waters of boldness. This is not totally off topic since it is about genealogy, being part of the family of God. The LDS is involved in genealogy, why can't I!!!
