In looking at Ancestry.com, I found over 40 files listing John Stanton Adkins as the son of Richard and Nancy Adkins or Richard and Rebecca Burrows Adkins. From my understanding and emailing with Erlyne who has the deed, this is incorrect. Many take the Deed of Conveyance that is posted on ancestry.com as showing that John Stanton Adkins was their son. However, there were at least 2 John Adkins in the area in the past. I tried to post comments on them, but gave up after doing about 10. If I am incorrect in this, please let me know, but I'm pretty sure I have a good grasp on them. I only wish there was some way to correct messed files. Lord knows, mine are probably messed up somewhere too and I would definitely welcome someone helping me fix them! Erlyne, I just couldn't stand it anymore!!!!
