Jennifer, my ggrandfather, Lee Roy Richardson lived near Macedonia Baptist (he is buried there now along with his wife's parents and grandparents) and he had the same job...taking the logs down the Clinch River to Chattanooga. I have been at that little church numerous times....my dad's initials are carved in one of the trees on the path behind the church going down to the lake. I love reading these stories because I know the area. Relatives of mine that lived in the area...Richardson, Gaylor and Duncan.
