My granny was born in 1906 and she said she can remember when the church was burned on a Saturday night. As for a certain, I don't know, but am very curious. If you were told that my great-grandfather helped build it, then that helps. I know he died in 1926--by that time my granny was married and living in Kentucky or Virginia where the coal mines were. She also said that someone burnt the school that she went to and when they rebuilt it, it was too far for her to walk to anymore and she didn't get to go to school anymore either.
