    3. Libby & Cora I have a James Branam b. abt 1843 in Pine Mountain d.1/10/1897 married 9/18/1859 to Mary Ann Wilburn, daughter of Stephen Gentry Wilburn b. 1817 and Nancy Ayers b. 1817. Mary Ann Wilburn was Morning Wilburn Carroll’s sister. I also have a Jim Branam married to Nancy Wilburn b. 1864 d. 1928 daughter of Elihu b. 1842 & Isabell Wilburn b 1841 I also have a Birdie Ancil Bolton married to LuLu Wilburn b. 1881 d. 1924. LuLu was the daughter of Elihu & Isabell Wilburn also. So, I am thinking our families are probably intertwined somewhere…My data is not by any means complete. The info about William Ledford Wilburn b. 1878 linking him to the Carrolls was great, I knew he was married to Sarah Carroll, but I did not know that she was the Great Granddaughter of Stephen Gentry Wilburn b. 1817 and Nancy Ayers b. 1817. William Ledford Wilburn b. 1878 was also their Great Grandson!! This stuff makes my head spin some days!! Anyway, I have been trying to find the Wilburn Family Bible. Does anyone have any information about it? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Evelyn Wilburn Sukey No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG. 3. Dear Evelyn, you think your head spins!!! Hang around it gets worse!! Yes we are related to Wm and Sarah Carroll Ledford. Wm and Sarah are buried in Hall Cemetery. Sarah by her daughter and son-in-law, Brandenburgs and Wm is buried with the Wilburns, it just happened that way I am told. If you are familiar with Hall it goes that way a number of places. No divorce just wanted to be with their families. Sarah was one of 4 girls of James C Carroll marriage to Jane York Carroll. By the way does anyone out there know where Jane is buried? She died after Sarah was born 91882)and her dad remarried in 1885 to Morning Branham and had 5 more boys. James is buried in Hall also and 3 or the 4 girls are buried there also. My husband knew Aunt Sarah very well. He says she used to smoke a corncob pipe!! 3. Hi Nancy: If you have the Scott County cemetery records, would you mind looking to see if there is a Reuben and Sarah Shoopman Smiddy couple in there. They lived in Campbell County, but had children in Scott County, and for some reason, Reuben's War of 1812 Pension documents say he is buried in Scott County, and then, just as Sarah was going to get her widow's pension from him, she passed away, and they say she is also buried in Scott County. I know the boundaries for both counties were different back then, but since most of their children are buried in either Jacksboro, Stinking Creek or the Jellico, Elk Valley area, it is strange that they would be buried in Scott County. I don't want to be any bother, but just when you get a chance to look, I would appreciate it.
