Hello Deb and Donna Deb and I are connected through the same line, her grandmother Daisy and my grandmother Pearl Reed are sisters. My Grandma Pearl told me that they had a brother Howard "Hooper" Reed, and he could see things, (ghostly things all the time) he used to scare them to death. But I have been to the Macedonia Graveyard many times and for some reason it is spooky to me. My Grandmother Pearl said that the men were outside the church gathered talking and whatnot there was a dog that appeared and one of the mean tried to get it to go away, and said something like I am going to kick you for a somerset if you don't go on, well the dog did not go and Howard Hooper said you won't kick that dog for a somerset, so the man kicked and his foot went right through the dog. It was a ghost, there is a picture on Mary Jane Lindsey Reed's stone and me and my Grandma Pearl, she is dead now but she looked so lonely and pitiful in that picture. It was very haunting to look at. Another happening in the same area, some of my Chapman family went fishing beyond the grave yard, and when they came up something grabbed one of the female's leg and it wasn't a weed either, which scared her. Another one coming from the graveyard back into town, a Chapman family member and her son had gone back to the same fishing hold, and on the way back through the Pinecrest area, it was dusk, they both spotted a little girl I think she said about 11 yrs old in her gown , they thought it kind of odd at dusk and that mist comes around ghost ,because I have seen them myself, laugh if you want to, the mother said to the son that was driving did you see that and he said yes, and they looked back and it was no more...gone.
