From The Oak Risdger 26ov 2004 Ralph Herbert Guymon, 85, of Oak Ridge, Pauline Tritt Larmoyeux, 83, Jasper B. Fincher, 80, of Oak Ridge, Ralph Herbert Guymon, 85, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. The son of Ralph C. and Lillian Guymon, he was born in Kansas City, Mo., and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in chemical engineering. Mr. Guymon moved to Oak Ridge in 1953 with his family and began his employment with Union Carbide. Before retiring from Martin Marietta, he was employed for 33 years as a chemical engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Mr. Guymon authored 52 publications, some of which were concerning the Ore Pilot Plant, Uranium Recovery, MSRE Reactor Experiment, and Quality Assurance Program for the Gas Recovery Systems Technology Facility. Mr. Guymon was loved and cherished by all of his family and friends. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Guymon was an accomplished photographer and a member of several area camera clubs. He very much enjoyed the times he spent playing chess with his grandchildren and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph C. and Lillian Guymon, of Kansas City, Mo., and a son, Fred Guymon of Houston, Texas. Mr. Guymon is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Baker Guymon; son Greg and wife Sharon Guymon, son Ken and wife Tracy Guymon of Oak Ridge, daughter-in-law Shirley Guymon, and grandchildren Dominy and Cody Guymon of Houston, Texas. Mr. Guymon is also survived by grandchildren Matt and wife Michelle, Jon and wife Jana, William and Ashley, Cheri and Brian, Mason, Morgan, and Mickinnon Guymon, and great-grandsons Edward, Noah, Joseph, Koby, and Tyler. The family will receive friends at Weatherford Mortuary, 158 S. Jefferson Circle, from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29. An on-line guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com Pauline Tritt Larmoyeux, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She had been in declining health for several years. Born Nov. 14, 1921, in Lee County, Va., she was the daughter of John W. and Lillie Statzer Tritt. Mrs. Larmoyeux came to Oak Ridge in 1944 and worked for a time at the Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Prior to that, she had worked in an ammunition plant in Bristol, Va., packing shells. She lived in Oak Ridge until 1959, when the family moved to the Karns community in Knox County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge. At the age of 49, Mrs. Larmoyeux decided to go into nurse's training at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at St. Mary's for the next 15 years until retiring in 1966. She took great pride in her nursing career. Mrs. Larmoyeux also enjoyed watching tennis and University of Tennessee football on television. She was an avid fan of the Lady Vols basketball team. Following the death of her husband, G.V. Larmoyeux, in 1988, she moved back to Oak Ridge in 1990. She had resided at Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center for a brief time prior to her death. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother who all died in childhood, and a sister, Ruth Tritt Neeley, who died in 1998; two brothers-in-law, Will Neeley, who died in 1994, and Hubert Hood, who died in 1995; a son-in-law, Charles M. Agee, who died in 1983; and a step-great grandson, Hunter Collier, who died in early childhood. Mrs. Larmoyeux is survived by her step-son, Ernest V. Larmoyeux and wife, Jo, of Kingston; her daughter, Caroline Agee of Oak Ridge; her son, Robert M. Larmoyeux and wife, Sue, of Tullahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mark Larmoyeux and wife, Jennifer, of Fayetteville, Ark., Susan Larmoyeux of Knoxville, Lisa Agee Scheer of Oak Ridge, Michael Agee and wife, Ronda, of Knoxville, Elizabeth Larmoyeux Brown and husband, Andy, of Nashville, and Jon Larmoyeux of Tullahoma; three great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Collier Oberg and husband, Jeff, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Chelsey Scheer of Oak Ridge, and Charlie Agee of Knoxville; her sister, Betty Tritt Hood of Big Stone Gap, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. A burial service will be held in the chapel of Oak Ridge Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004. The Rev. Bob Cantrell of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Fincher, 80, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 5, 1924, in Monroe, N.C., he joined the U.S. Marine Corps in June 1942. He served with the First Marine Expeditionary Force in the South Pacific including Iwo Jima, the Solomon Islands, Bougainville and Guadalcanal. He retired in 1986 after 31 years as an experimental machinist at the Y-12 Plant. Mr. Fincher had a love for sports, especially NASCAR racing, and was an avid bird watcher. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Walt, Carl and Ben; his sisters, Wilma and Zona; and a grandson, Carl Pegel Jr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Fincher; his daughter, Carol Getsi; his sons, Bradley and wife, Mary, of Raleigh, N.C., Rodney and wife, Susan, of Knoxville, and Joe and wife, Angie, of Oak Ridge; his grandchildren, Machelle Brown, Chuck Getsi, Robert Fincher, Tracie Shingleton, Stephen Fincher, Gina Fincher and Lisa Fincher; and his great-grandchildren, Nachole and Kelley Brown, Gabrielle Pegel, Rachel Fincher, Elizabeth and Willard Shingleton, and Ryan Getsi. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary.
