From the Knoxville News Sentinel 1 N0v 2004 CARTER, HORACE "HOSS" - age 70, of Norris, DISON, DOROTHY A. - age 81 of the Laurel Grove Community, LOWE, MARGARET - 68 of LaFollette, Tenn., CARTER, HORACE "HOSS" - age 70, of Norris, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2004, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was of the Baptist Faith. He also loved fishing. Preceded in death by: mother, Maude Carter Hickey; step- father, Bruce Hickey; mother-in-law, Audrey Mae Pike. Born August 7, 1934 in Knoxville. Survivors: wife, Deborah Jane Pike Carter of Norris; daughters, Amanda Paige Carter of Jacksboro, Kathy Frances of Sevierville; half-brothers, Charles Hickey & wife Karen of Concord, Bruce Gene Hickey & wife Nora of Knoxville; half-sisters, Joyce Ferguson & husband Jr. of Knoxville, Carolyn Hopper & husband Ronnie of Knoxville, Mary Giles & husband Doug of Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Cindy Hatmaker & twins, Brandon & Randall of Clinton, Darlene Tingle & husband, Bill & daughter, Allison of Noblesville, Indiana; grandsons, Kevin Burns of Sevierville, Zachery Carter Kennedy of Jacksboro; great grandson, Hunter A. Burns of Sevierville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 am, Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at New Home Baptist Church with funeral services following. The burial will follow at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. DISON, DOROTHY A. - age 81 of the Laurel Grove Community, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2004 at her residence. She was member of Laurel Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: husband, Rev. Loas Dison; sons, Chester & Loas, Jr; grandchildren, Chester Lynn & Melissa; parents, Isaac & Sarah Brown. Survivors: children, Ruby Smith, Brenda Waters, Pam Braden, Debbie Dison, Lisa Erickson, Rev. Lonnie Dison, Dewey Dison & Larry Dison. The family will receive friends on November 1st from 6 to 8 pm at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral services will be November 2nd at 3pm at Laurel Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Braden officiating. Interment will follow at the Brown's Flat Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of arrangements. LOWE, MARGARET - 68 of LaFollette, Tenn., passed away early Saturday morning October 30, 2004 in Kodak, TN at the home of her daughter, Teri Keener. Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by: her parents, Oscar Monday and Ethel Heath Monday; and husband, Robert Lowe; and one brother, James Monday. Mrs. Lowe was of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Eagle Club. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family very much. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by: her daughters and sons-in-law, Teri Keener and husband Ricky of Kodak, TN, and Timi Zuckerman and husband Ronald of Elyria, Ohio; one brother, Pete Monday of Ohio; three sisters, Madge Miller and Axie Hilger both of LaFollette, and Nell McCarty of Michigan; three grandchildren, Joey and Matt Zuckerman of Ohio and Taylor Keener of Kodak, TN; also several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday night, November 1, 2004 in the Chapel of Martin-Wilson Funeral Home at 8 p.m. with Elder J.C. Monday and Rev. Randy Troutman officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family of Margaret Lowe will receive friends Monday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. before funeral services in the Chapel of Martin-Wilson Funeral Home.
