From the Knoxville News Sentinel 25 Nov 2004 BUMGARDNER, VIRGINIA - age 78 of Clinton, TN., FRAKER, MATTIE R. - age 91, of Hieskell, McKINNEY, OPAL - age 67 of Emory Heights Community in Harriman, BUMGARDNER, VIRGINIA - age 78 of Clinton, TN., passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Lake City Health Care Center in Lake City, TN. Virginia was a perfect wife, loving mother & aunt. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Sam & Cora Brummet;, son, Johnny Lyn Bumgardner; brother, Sam Brummett. She was a devout Christian and taught Sunday School for many years, and worked with WMU Women's Ministry. Survivors: husband, John Baumgardner of Clinton, TN; son, Gary Bumgardner & wife Gwen of Clinton, TN.; daughters, Kathy Cardwell & husband Jim of Clinton, TN.; Linda Jandzinski & husband Robert of Johnson City, TN.; sister, Betty Brooks & husband Bob of Clinton, TN., Ann Cartwright of Georgetown, TN.; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Brummett of Clinton, TN.; grandchildren, Jimmy Cardwell & wife Suzanne of Clinton, TN., Denise Albright & husband Chris of Clinton, TN., Terris Garrett & husband Chris of Knoxville, TN., Heather Minton & husband Josh of Knoxville, TN., Chrissy Evans & husband Mark of Clinton, TN., Suzanne Carson & husband BJ of Coalfield, TN., Christin Bumgardner of Clinton, TN.; 12 great grandchildren; special friends, Lillian & GD Carroll, Mary & Roger Reynolds; several nieces & nephews and a host of relatives & friends. Preceded in death by: parents, Inmon & Mattie McPeters; and her brother, Roy McPeters. Opal was a loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother.
