From The Knoxville News Sentinel 5 May 2004 CLAIBORNE, GEORGE L. - of Knoxville, formerly of Lafollette, TN, DUNN, MEGHAN DENEACE - WARD, LOLA MAE - age 59, of Briceville, TN \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ CLAIBORNE, GEORGE L. - of Knoxville, formerly of Lafollette, TN, prepared for his upward flight on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. He was a member of Bush Grove Baptist Church until his health prevented him from attending. At the age of 22 he joined the Army. After being discharged he was employed with Tennessee Armature until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Astelle Claiborne; his loving wife, Myrtle Claiborne; son, Steven Costner. He leaves to celebrate his homegoing: son, Timothy (Susan) Claiborne of Yonkers( NY), Michael (Anita) Claiborne, John Claiborne of Knoxville; daughters, Georgetta (Eddie) Anderson of Munford (AL), Wilma Claiborne and Kimberly (Anthony) Maples of Knoxville; sister, Emma Miller; brother, Henry (Mary Katherine) Claiborne; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving friends Friday, May 7, 2004 at Highland South Memorial Park from 2:00 until 3:00 PM with the funeral to follow. Reverend Walter C. Shumpert officiating. Interment at Highland South Memorial Park. Arrangements by Unity Mortuary. DUNN, MEGHAN DENEACE - infant daughter of Lisa Johnson & David "Sean" Dunn passed away Monday, May 3, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Survivors: sister, Lauren Elizabeth Dunn of Clinton; grandparents, Rev. Kenneth & wife Joy Johnson of Clinton, Elizabeth Owsley of Lake City, David & wife Kay Dunn of Clinton; great grandparents, Willis "Bill" Jackson of Oliver Springs, Arthorine Wilson of Lake City, Reva Dean Johnson of Harriman; aunt, Mary E. "Mimi" Elliott of Lake City. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. The graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday at Leach Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. WARD, LOLA MAE - age 59, of Briceville, TN passed away Monday, May 3, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge. She attended Laurel Branch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for her on Thursday, May 6th from 6 to 8 pm at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral services will be Friday, May 7th at 2 pm at the Laurel Branch Baptist Church with Rev. James Adkins & Rev. Archie Seiber officiating. Interment will follow at Grave Hill Cemetery.
