Campbell Co., TN Court Minutes - 1816 David Richardson vs Richard Linville - Appeal. This day came the parties in this cause by their attorneys and thereupon came a jury towit, James G. Magee, John Franklin, Robert Smith, Peter McCulley, Eli Wilson, THOMAS ANDERSON, James McGinney, John Huckaby, Thomas Skidmore, Joshua Roach, Joseph Hood and Geo. Rains, who being elected, tried and sworn the truth to speak, upon the matter of controversy, upon their oaths do say they find for the plaintiff and assess his damages to ten dollars besides cents. Wherefore it is ordered and considered by the Court that the plaintiff recover of the defendant his damage aforesaid in form aforesaid assessed, also his costs by him about his suit in this behalf expended and the said defendant in mercy & c, and the said Deft, by his attorney comes and prays an appeal from the foregoing indictment, files his reason, enters into bond and security and the appeal is granted.
