William Baird and Barbara Hatmaker where married Dec.14,1864 in Campbell Co.TN On William Baird and Barbara Hatmaker I have some question about Barbara Hatmaker,on her parents. You show her parents David Hatmaker and Martha Harmon,I have Daniel Hatmaker and Martha Harmon married Aug 18,1853 in Campbell Co.TN I have notes below about Barbara Hatmaker and who her parents are.I have her mother Delila Carver and if you look at the notes her father is either James Hatmaker or Jacob Hatmaker. Let me know what you think. In the book: "A Promise of Good Things, Longfield Baptist Church," 1831-1981 by Edith Wilson Hutton This was a list of the early members of Indian Creek Church, 1833-1850. The list was drawn from Indian Creek Church minutes dating from April 1833 to January 1850. P. 844 James Hatmaker is listed as being: Rec. Exp. 1843 P. 844 Delila Hatmaker is listed as: (wife of James Hatmaker) Rec Sept 1843 Campbell Co TN Marriages 1838-1881 transcribed by Byron & Barbara Sistler, Novemeber 1884 depicts Delila Carver to James Hatmaker. When I went to the cross index it's stated that Delila Carver m Jacob Hatmaker March 15, 1840. I believe this to me a typing error on Sistler"s part. Listed in the cross index of the Hatmaker's depicts; Delila to Jacob Hatmaker, March 15, 1840. Listed as the following marriage it depicts Jacob Hatmaker to to Polly Hatmaker, Nov 9, 1949. In the book listed above; Delilah Carver was listed as the wife of James Hatmaker. Whether it's James Buffy, I'm uncertain, but he is the only James to fit the timeline. Further research is needed on this family. If this, in fact is James Buffy, he would have divorced Delilah prior to March 14, 1846 as that's the date he married Sophia Cooper. I couldn't locate Delilah in the 1850 Anderson Co or Campbell Co Census Records but she was in the 1860 Anderson Co TN Census Records listed as: Delilah Hatmaker 53 NC Barbara 19 TN William 17 Thank You Susie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kathy Chasteen" <kannchasteen@sbcglobal.net> To: <TNCAMPBE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 18, 2004 9:25 PM Subject: Re: [TNCAMPBE-L] William Baird and Barbary > Dennis, > > William F. From this marriage index on the FTM CD you show a James Hatmaker marrying a Sarah Murray. Would this Sarah Murray be the daughter of John Philip Murray and Mary Ann Moser? I'm thinking it might be...... I have a Sarah Murray, b. 1832 to John Philip Murray and Mary Ann Moser. Siblings were George, Susan, Barbara, Silas, Jacob, Lewis, Nancy Jane, Milly, Henry Clay, Mary Ann, John. Can anyone confirm that this is the same Sarah Murray?
