Johnson age 80 of LaFollette Wayne Justice, age 78 of Grayson, Ky Minnie Galbraith Parker, 97 of Briceville David Paul age 76 of Warren, MI formerly of LaFollette Bill Walden, 78 of Duff Maxie Cowan, age 93, widow of Nelson "Cotton" Cowan died May 17 at Middlesboro Heatlh Care Facility. The daughter of the late Lloyd and Chloe B. Osborne, she was born at Hagan, Virginia on August 27, 1910. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Middlesboro, Ky. Survivors include her sister, Gladys Rowland of New Whiteland, Indiana; daughters, Lucille (Earl) Freeman, LaFollette, Nell (Jim) Johnson Hollon, Pine Ridge, Ky, Jean (Roy) Walker, Harbor City, Ca, Mary Ruth (Truman) Frye, Carlisle, Oh, Pat (Gene) Johnston, Middlesboro, Ky and Virginia (David) Binning, Versailles, Ky. Funeral services were May 21 at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Truman Debord presiding, assisted by Bob Justice and son-in-law, Truman Frye. Music was provided by her granddaughter, Dr. Robin Fox and her husband, Lon. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Contributions are suggested to the Trinity Baptist Church, P.O. He was born March 4, 1956 in Anderson County. He was a member of Cumberland View Baptist Church in Jacksboro. He loved riding motorcycles, four wheelers, camping and spending time with his friends. Preceded in death by his father, Wesley Foust. Survivors include his mother, Alma Byrd Foust, Lake City; wife, Diane Carroll Foust, Lake City; sons, Arvil Lee Hammock, Jr., Wartburg, Christopher Wade Burris and Brandi Phillips, Lake City, T.J. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Jesse Paul Johnson, 17 of Jacksboro died May 21at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church. Jesse loved football, cars, hunting, and helping his papaw farm. He was a member of the Campbell Co. football team. Survived include his parents, Thomas and Paula Wilson Johnson; brother, Zachary Johnson; grandparents, Paul and Beulah Wilson all of Jacksboro, Tom and Jean Johnson of Pensacola, FL; aunts, Sarah Lough and Rita Trammell both of Jacksboro; Tammy Elliott of Pensacola, FL; uncle, Brandon Johnson of Johnstown, PA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were May 24 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jim Osborne officiating. Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens. Six of the Campbell County High School football players will serve as pallbearers. Johnson age 80 of LaFollette died May 22 at St. Mary's Health & Rehab Center in LaFollette. He was of the Pentecostal and Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Hale and Nannie Hatmaker Johnson; sisters, Pauline, Edra, Gladys, and Ada ;brothers, Herman, Quenton, Owen, Howard, and Dedrich (Deck) Johnson. Survivors include his sisters, Mildred Meredith of Pioneer, Wilma Dean Whaley of Johnson City; brother, Albert Johnson of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral services were private. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Wayne Justice, age 78 of Grayson, Ky died May 20 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1925 in Carter County, Ky and is the son of the late John and Sarah Parsons Justice. He was a farmer and attended the Regular Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Parsons Justice; wives, Anna Belle Mauk Justice and Millie Walters Justice; grandson, Anthony Scott Justice; brothers, Bill and Joe Justice; sister, Ella Reynolds; step-son, Darrell Hylton. Survivors include his wife, Rose Myrtle McDavid Justice; sons, Bobby Joe Justice, Olive Hill, Ky and Donald Wayne Justice, Grayson, Ky; daughter, Donna J. Surgener, LaFollette; step-sons, Albert Adams, Grayson, Ky, Kevin Hylton, Grayson, Ky, Bill Hylton, Marion, Ohio; step-daughters, Janie Perkins, Grayson, Ky, Gayla Holbrook, Marion, Oh; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services were May 24 at the Eldridge Funeral Home with Tim Porter, Jimmy Adkins and Arlie Reynolds officiating. Interment was in the East Carter Memory Garden. Minnie Galbraith Parker, 97 of Briceville died May 22 at the Lake City Health Care Center. She was born April 29, 1907 in Anderson County to the late Millard Galbraith and Rosa Smith Galbraith. She married the Rev. George C. Parker on Sept. 25, 1926. Minnie and George had four children, George, James, Jessie and Wilma. She lived all her life in Anderson County except for two years she spent in Cumberland, Ky. She lived the last 51 years in the Briceville area. She lived at the Lake City Health Care Center since Jan. 1999 where she passed away. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Briceville. She enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music, crochet sewing, making quilts, and she especially enjoyed working with her many beautiful flowers. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George C. Parker; infant daughter, Wilma; sons, James Edward "Ed" Parker, Jessie Parker; parents, Millard Galbraith and Rosa Smith Galbraith; sisters, Mallie Smith, Flora Seeber; brothers, Jesse, Frank and Robert "Bob" Galbraith. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George and Shirley Parker, Andersonville; daughter-in-laws, Audrey Parker and family, Lakeland, Fl, Ruby Parker and family, Augusta, Ga; sisters, Maxine Reed, Oliver Springs, Frances Phillips, Beech Grove; brother, Leroy Galbraith, Briceville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. David Paul age 76 of Warren, MI formerly of LaFollette died May 23. He was the son the late Edgar and Martha (Green) Paul. He was a veteran of WWII and worked for over 50 years for the Home Juice Company of Detroit and was fondly known as the "Juice Man". Preceded in death by twin brothers, James and Samuel; sister, Laura Bell;brother, John Paul. Survivors include his wife, Virlene Bolton Paul of Warren, MI; children, Shirley Genord and husband, Robert, Betty James and husband, Ed, David Paul and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Shandon, Jesse, Amanda, Lauren, Robert, and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Johnathan; step-mother, Hettie Paul of LaFollette, sisters, Mary Bellamy of Indiana, JoAnn Overton of LaFollette; brothers, Lewis, Frank, and Carl all of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
