From the Knoxville News Sentinel 26 May 2004 CHAMBERS, RUBY JO - age 80, of Strawberry Plains, MARLOW, RALPH - age 54, of Caryville, CHAMBERS, RUBY JO - age 80, of Strawberry Plains, died Monday, May 24, 2004 at her home. The daughter of Joseph Freeman and Mary Eva Line (Phillips) Chambers, she was born July 13, 1923 in Oneida, TN. She was a registered technician and former employee of Penn Clinic and Ft. Sanders Orthopedic Clinic. A member of First Baptist Church, Oneida, she attended Laurel Springs Christian Church in Cosby, TN. She was preceded in death by: her parents; five brothers, infant twins, Emo, Freeman, and Willard Chambers; three sisters, Eula Chambers, Maye C. Austin, Betty C. Matheny; nephew, Leland Chambers; sister-in-law, Fannie Chambers; and brother-in-law, B.G. Austin. She is survived by: her nieces & nephews, Joe F. Chambers, Shirley (Chambers) & Jimmy Taylor, Martha (Chambers) & Gary Fraker, Marvin & Betty Chambers, Mary Lou (Matheny) & John Longmire, Suzanne Matheny; several great & great great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Katherine and Martha Chambers; numerous friends, including close friends, Ruth Smith and family and Marlene Kitts. Family and friends appreciate the care given by St. Mary's Hospice. Family will receive friends 10-11:00 a.m. Thursday followed at 11:00 a.m. by the funeral service at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Bob Adcock officiating. MARLOW, RALPH - age 54, of Caryville, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church & retired from Ascroco Zinc Mining Co. in Jefferson Co. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Preceded in death by mother, Mency Lowe Marlow; brother, Chester Marlow & sister, Thedia McKamey. Survivors: wife, Laura Davis Marlow; son, Ralph Kevin Marlow; daughter & son-in-law, Emily & Keith McKamey; granddaughters, Bethany & Hannah McKamey, all of Caryville; father, Allen Marlow, Jacksboro; brother & sister-in- law, Lester & Ada Marlow, Caryville; brother-in-law, Thurman McKamey; sister-in-law, Gracie Marlow, both of Jacksboro.
